Episode 54

In this episode, we are joined by Sheriff Jeff Gahler of Harford County, Maryland. It's a deep dive into the joys and challenges of law enforcement as the leader of Maryland's largest sheriff's office. 

Join Mike Allred and friends (Dave, Kevin, Koz, Todd and The Captain) as they pepper an old friend with tons  of questions, regarding his biographical history, his early career as a Maryland State Trooper, lessons in leadership, the leap into the political side of law enforcement, and the path to becoming Sheriff. Along with Colonel Bill Davis, we talk with Jeff about the changes in how crime statistics are reported and about the early tragedy in the new administration when two of their deputies were killed. The Sheriff also openly answers questions regarding the ongoing public disputes with the County Executive and his views as to whether these disputes could be solved in the near future.  Finally, we touch on the impact on the deportation efforts of the President's administration and how that will impact his agency.
