In this episode, the guys welcome one of Maryland's most distinguished lawmen, retired U.S. Marshal Johnny L. Hughes.
Join Mike Allred and friends (Dave, Kevin, Koz, Todd and The Captain), along with Johnny, as he shares a lifetime of lessons from both the street and the halls of Congress. From his humble beginnings and rise through the Maryland State Police, to his presidential appointment as the 33rd U.S. Marshal for the District of Maryland, we hear what it is like to dedicate one's life to service.
In this candid conversation, Hughes opens up about leadership, ethics, and the challenges facing law enforcement in today's America, including the Marshal's Service. Additionally, he explains how God has blessed him in his career, the reality of danger, protests and public scrutiny, and how officers can stay grounded in integrity when the world feels divided.
Its a powerful, behind-the-scenes look at what it truly means to serve, protect and lead.

Rob Long: From the Badge to the Broadcast Booth (Episode 116)
Monday Nov 03, 2025
Monday Nov 03, 2025
In this episode, the guys sit down with 105.7 The Fan's Rob Long, a radio personality and broadcaster with a voice that most of Baltimore and Maryland will recognize.
Join Mike Allred and friends (Dave, Kevin, Koz, Todd and The Captain), along with Rob, as we talk some sports, but mainly learn about the man. Our guest's story isn't your typical path to the broadcast booth. Before the mic, he wore a badge, serving as a police officer in South Carolina. We talk about that journey, what drives him, and what he's learned about work ethic, following God's path, and connecting with people.
We'll dive into his early life in Baltimore, his time on the force, his experience with autism and non-profit support, his rise in Baltimore sports media, and his thoughts on the Orioles, Ravens, and the changing world of sports talk.
Stick around! It's a good one!

Overcoming Imposter Syndrome (Episode 114)
Wednesday Oct 29, 2025
Wednesday Oct 29, 2025
Do you ever have that little voice in your head that whispers, "You're not good enough for this," "You don't belong here," "Who am I to think people will listen to me," or "I'll be found out?"
Well that phenomenon is called Imposter Syndrome, and it's more common than you realize. In this episode, Mike addresses what, exactly, that is and its causes. We place it in a framework that makes it easier to identify and, most importantly, discuss ways to defeat it, so you can go on about your business of being successful.

Colonel Ed Norris (Episode 72)
Monday Oct 27, 2025
Monday Oct 27, 2025
Before we have him back, we thought we’d re-release his first interview and give everyone a chance to hear it. What better time than while the crew is on break! Check out this popular interview with the Colonel!
We had to stand and salute during this podcast, and for good reason, as we interviewed one of our 'ole Maryland State Police Superintendents, Colonel Ed Norris, also known as NYPD Deputy Commissioner of Operations Norris, and Baltimore City Police Commissioner Norris!
Join Mike Allred and friends (Dave, Kevin, Koz and Todd) in a special two-hour podcast, where we were able to ask the Colonel anything regarding his storied life and career. Nothing was off-limits, so we asked him about his early years and childhood, growing up in Brooklyn, NY. We asked him how he got into law enforcement and who his influences were as he started a 20-year career in NYPD. We ask him about his experiences and many assignments, as well as how he stumbled onto the 9/11 terrorist plot years before we were attacked! We ask about his role in the movie, 'Jack the Ripper in America.' We ask how he ended up as Commissioner in Baltimore City. We ask about his appointment as MD State Police Colonel. We ask about the charges against him, his arrest, and his time serving in federal penitentiaries...and we were just getting started!!
You can hear the answers to all of the above questions and many more in this special story of the rise, fall, restoration and redemption of one of America's best-known cops...a man who loves policing and has seen the best and worst that comes from wearing the badge.
You can listen to Ed and his co-hosts' radio show each morning on the Big Bad Morning Show on CBS WJZ-FM (105.7 The FAN) in Baltimore, MD from 6am to 10am.
Visit Ed Norris' website at www.theednorris.com.
You can find Ed's book, 'Way Down in the Hole,' on Amazon, in hardback and paperback.
As always, we are interested in our audience's opinions. Email us at Mike@allredwhiteandblue.com and let us know your response to our interviews.

Is 'Right and Wrong' Truly a Clue to the Meaning of the Universe? (Episode 112)
Wednesday Oct 22, 2025
Wednesday Oct 22, 2025
What if right and wrong aren't just personal opinions, but clues to something bigger?
This week, on the Secure Your World episode of the Allred, White and Blue Podcast, Mike switches gears and dives into the concept of 'Right and Wrong,' exploring C. S. Lewis' Mere Christianity, Book One: Right and Wrong as a Clue to the Meaning of the Universe.
It's a timeless look at our conscience, truth, and what our moral instincts say about the world...and about us. No matter who you are...no matter where you are right now...your sense of right and wrong might just be sending you a message and giving you the most powerful clue in the universe.
