We welcome Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly back to the podcast this week.
Join Mike Allred and friends (Dave, Kevin, Todd & The Captain) as they gain more behind-the-scenes knowledge about the county executive position, the grateful opportunities and the challenges. It is particularly timely, as the budget planning season is wrapping up for the 2025-26 fiscal year budget.
We ask a lot of questions and discuss a lot of issues, including future growth development balance, the State Education Blueprint and it's affect on our budget, economic development opportunities, solar field threats to county farmland, budget processes, upcoming infrastructure projects and parks, the downside of a one-party system, and much more. Mike even challenges him to explain the differences between government fees and taxes on county residents.
It's a hearty and informative discussion and one the all Harford County residents should be privy to. Heck, anyone interested in how local governments operate should hear it!

It's a new day and a new podcast moment for The Allred, White & Blue Podcast as they begin their Friday afternoon, weekly local news hours. That's right, we are adding a 2nd episode each week to primarily focus and comment on the news that affects Bel Air, Harford County, and other surrounding jurisdictions in Maryland.
Join Mike Allred and friends (Sloane Carroll and George Denton) as they break down the local news stories that impact us in our communities and neighborhoods. This is our inaugural episode and we get to about a third of what we thought we would, but that's ok, because we are blessed by a super first-time call-in guest to help us break the ice.
Maryland's 60th Governor and friend to the podcast, Bob Ehrlich calls in and helps us make sense of the national and state political landscapes!
It's already a good time with the banter and Sloane keeping us in check! Join us and have some fun with us. Hopefully, we'll learn something together, as well!
